BraveCX is made by Bering Limited, a medical AI software company that creates clinical decision support systems along the continuum of health and care.
Founded in 2010, Bering is internationally acknowledged for its research and its application to translational medicine. We are based in London, United Kingdom. Our company details and our registration with the UK's data protection regulator (the ICO) can be found at ico.org.uk.

Through commitment to research, we seek to discover and create advanced clinical AI technologies and bring them to people who need them the most.

Health and care professionals
Bering Limited provides BraveCX to healthcare organisations such as hospital trusts, imaging networks and their partners. If you are a member of staff who uses BraveCX, we receive information about you in three ways:
- Bering account registration, when you sign up to our Support Portal.
- Ongoing use of BraveCX within your organisation's radiology systems.
- If you contact us directly, for example by email or through the contact form on this website.
Bering account registration
When you create a Bering Support Portal account, we collect your full name, email, organisation and clinical role. We collect this on the basis of legitimate interest, to link your profile to your organisation. You can ask us to remove or update your contact details at any time by contacting support@beringlimited.atlassian.net.
Ongoing use of BraveCX
We provide BraveCX to healthcare organisations, who are responsible for how your information is used in our software. This means we act as a data processor. We have a clear agreement with your healthcare organisation that sets out what we do with the data and how we keep it safe. You can ask to review the data processing agreement by contacting support@beringlimited.atlassian.net.
Email, social media or telephone
When you contact us by email, social media or telephone, we may collect your name, email, telephone number, social media handles and anything else you share with us. We collect this on the basis of our legitimate interest to respond to you and discuss our products and services.
Prospective buyers from healthcare organisations
If you work for an NHS commissioner, a healthcare provider or another organisation that buys software for healthcare, when we speak to you about BraveCX we collect your full name, email, the content of email communications and any additional information you provide.
We collect this on the basis of our legitimate interest to discuss procurement and purchasing decisions about our products with your organisation.
User and market research participants
We spend a lot of time speaking to radiologists, radiographers and other healthcare professionals to understand their needs. When you take part in our research, we collect your full name, email and any additional information you provide through surveys, interviews or other communications.
We collect this either on the basis of our legitimate interest to make sure our products are fit for purpose, or on the basis of your explicit consent, obtained at the start of the research project. In some circumstances we may carefully anonymise your personal data for indefinite use in product analysis and service improvement.
Job applicants and prospects
When you apply for a role with us
We collect your name, telephone number, email address, employment history and CV, assessment results, and feedback from staff and referees. We collect this on the basis of legitimate interest to assess applications, and to meet our legal obligation to make sure applicants have the right to work.
Email or social media contact
If you contact us about a job application, we also collect technical information including IP addresses and social media handles. We keep information about prospective employees for a maximum of 24 months, to improve our hiring process or to tell you about other opportunities.
Visitors to this website
Contact form
When you use the contact form on this website, we collect your name, email, organisation and message. We use this on the basis of our legitimate interest to reply to your enquiry. Form submissions are sent to us by email using Resend, an email delivery service that acts as our processor. Resend is based in the United States, so your enquiry may be processed outside the UK under appropriate safeguards.
Hosting and fonts
This website is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs such as IP address and browser type for security and reliability. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads.
How do we collect information?
We may collect information about you from:
- Email, telephone, social media and in-person conversations
- Other organisations within the health system
- Chat tools such as Microsoft Teams
- The contact form on this website
- Publicly available sources, including your employer's website or your social media profile
Data retention
Our data retention periods are:

Patient data
If you are a patient, please refer to the privacy notice of the healthcare organisation that provides your care for information about how your personal data is used.
We only process your data under explicit instruction from the relevant healthcare organisation, which is the data controller. When BraveCX is used, we may process chest X-ray images and the information stored with them, such as age and imaging details, to:
- Analyse chest X-ray images and assist clinicians in interpreting them
- Check that images are suitable for analysis
- Monitor the performance of the AI models we use to process your data
Where BraveCX is hosted in the cloud, images are anonymised by your healthcare organisation before they are sent to us.
